Why Seven Carbon?

Seven Cycles is no stranger to carbon fiber. Nearly 10 years ago, Seven introduced the Odonata-the first bicycle of its kind to strategically mate carbon fiber in the back end of a metal frame to provide ultimate comfort and surefooted drivetrain stiffness. Now, in 2007, Seven has introduced a line of carbon fiber bicycles which embody Seven’s built-to-order platform while still providing a variety of aesthetic choices. Here are 5 reasons why we are excited about the new carbon frames from Seven Cycles.

1. Customization: Like all other titanium and steel models from Seven, all Seven carbon frames are built for each rider, one-at-a-time. This means each carbon frame embodies Seven’s Five Elements of Customization™.

2. Experience: While 2 of 3 all-carbon models from Seven Cycles are new for 2007, Seven brings a wealth of experience to the manufacturing of carbon frames. Whether it’s sitting in on wind-tunnel testing for Pro Tour teams; presenting lectures on materials at prominent design schools; or developing ground-breaking components like the 5E carbon fork, Seven is backed by experience in the process of designing, testing, and manufacturing carbon frames.

3. Variety of Aesthetics: From the fully-shaped tubing of the Diamas, to the round-tubed tradition of the Triad, Seven offers carbon models to meet the preferences of a variety of discerning eyes. What’s more, all carbon models are available in endless paint options.

4. Multiple price points: Unlike some custom manufacturers who only offer frames at one specific price point, Seven offers carbon frames at three price points: Diamas ($4795); VII ($4295); Triad ($3395). Additionally, Seven offers carbon/titanium models starting at Luma ($2995).

5. Best in class value: A quick glance at full carbon frames from other manufacturers illustrates the relatively high cost for carbon machines in limited sizes and intended uses. What’s more, these production frames are sometimes more costly than a fully custom Seven. When there is parity in price, the question suddenly becomes, “Why compromise when you can have exactly the comfort, handling, and options available to you?”
