CBS Kit 1.0
For some cyclists, a team clothing kit (jersey, shorts, jacket, etc) is a cycling wardrobe necessity as it uniformly presents the rider in the most professional manner with all pieces matching and marked. At CBS, we wanted to produce a kit that paid respect to some of the cycling icons, professional racing teams, and environments that have inspired us throughout the years. We teamed up with Wieden and Kennedy (www.wk.com) designer James Selman to produce CBS kit 1.0.
The colors represented pay homage to the Lotto cycling team of the 90’s lead by the classic rider Andre Tchmil as well as the 1996 Italia Mapei/GB cycling team which dominated the spring classic races such as Paris Roubaix. The playful iconic evergreen trees scattered about the kit have been included as a reminder of the Pacific Northwest beauty and all the recreational opportunity it affords cyclists.
The clothing has been made by Vermarc, an industry leader in custom apparel. The kit includes a short sleeve jersey, bib shorts, a thermal vest, and what Vermarc calls the “Mid-season” jacket which combines a long sleeve, fleece-lined jersey with a WindTex™ membrane in the front of the jersey to block the wind. Finally, the kit is topped with what Vermarc calls the “Mutt”, a fleece lined cycling cap with ear flaps, a visor, and a WindTex front panel.
The CBS kit is available in limited quantities; please let us know if you are interested.
